Baby bed sheet set

My achievement of the day…

dsc_0001

I know the word ‘achievement’ is too big for this simple and easy baby bed sheet set, but seemed like I’ve forced myself to complete it last night. The past 3 days, I didn’t spent much time on crafting. A bit lazy and need to rest somehow.

This baby bed sheet was requested by a mom to be, Mas. She asked for a simple design with only frills. So, it quite easy for me. Actually she also asked for a quilt but I don’t have enough confidence to make it for commercial purpose.

My first trial of Tote Bag

I am very happy and excited today. Why? read this… Last week my husband, Jr and me went to Familia of Wisma Merdeka, Kota Kinabalu. Just for jalan-jalan (window shopping). After section by section of viewing, I came to the fabric section and there I found a lot of beautiful pattern of heavy weight cottons, which are suitable for making a curtain, bed sheet and even for bag? Somehow I didn’t buy any of them…

Back at home then, my eyes pointed to my never-used-Avon-tote-bag and suddenly an idea flew into my head. By using my old jeans skirt (that’s all I have at the moment), cut it into pieces and after a few minutes of sewing process… Tadaa!

Finally I sewed my first tote bag!!! A trial actually, but I really made it, didn’t I? Luckily I already have all the stuff needed such as zip, black cotton cloth and bag handle (I didn’t know what its real name is). So, how does it looks? Quite simple I admit…and a bit worn out, but it became my daily handbag now! What can i say, I am making progress on my sewing ability! Later on, I plan to buy some cotton fabrics and try again to sew some more, for real. But of course with some improvement and embellishment on it. A pocket maybe! I tell you what, someone already booked one!

In addition, I want to show you a set of baby’s comfort I made recently includes a bed sheet, a pillow case, a pair of  bolster cases and a blanket, specially for my coming-soon-baby. Actually, really inspired be some of the established sewing blogs such Jurra Sew Cute and SnazzynSuch, a lots of credit to them.
