Totable tote
Mar
It quite small for a bag, more to pouch size. But still it’s a bag, a totable tote bag for sure. I’ve made last night, took me until 2 am to finished.

A simple patchwork and batting to make it stand itself.

Some felt flowers and buttons for embellishments.
Ok, I supposed to make it a surprise gift for my blogger friend, as I was chosen for a her birthday swap away. But being me, I just couldn’t resist to post it here as soon as it completed. Couldn’t wait to get mine either! Fatt, I made this specially for you. Happy belated birthday, dear!!!

Roll it,roll it…

What’s this?…

I present you my Tools Roll!
I’ve got the idea from my hubby’s tools roll of his car. Using the same design, then I just manipulated the appearance. Combined applique and simple patchwork application.

Those alphabet are cut out felt appliqued (first time trial with machine sewn, not very neat I might admit) . Now all my sewing/craft tools are safe, easy to reach and assemble. I can just put them all together in my beg to mobile them everywhere.

I guess, I started to fall in love in patchworking..what a fun and enjoyable things to do, it’s a kind of puzzle solution to me. I planned to commercialize this tools roll in future, but need to survey the market first. Err…does anybody wants it anyway?…

…don’t throw it away!
Jan

Every time when you buy a bundle of CD and yet finished of using it, don’t throw the casing away. Recycle it instead, like I did..

A pincussion! They can be covered and locked when not use, so it safe when your child plays around. No worries to press down the pin to the limit and even to put them in a bag to mobile them every where. Still can’t figure it out? Here are some more pictures…

A hand sewn patchworked felt pincussion, embellished with small roses and art string.

This fella have simple patchwork pattern. Hand sewn as well, using my old recycled jeans and cotton kind of fabrics.
You know what, I must admit that even though they’re not more than just a very basic, simple and minimum pieces of pattern, I guess this is my first baby step into patchworking arena and quilting in the next (how I wish that!) supervised by books I’ve shown before. So, to patchworkers out there, how am I doing? Please do welcome me to the club…

This love box is quite big, more than enough for my crafting tools. Made from recycled refrigerator’s box sheet. So why don’t dig out your inner creativity and make some. Good luck!
