And the best comment is…
Feb
Originality is the art of concealing your sources well! Because it is your originality that makes your crafts ‘THE MOST WANTED’ item to grab on and it is what makes me to buy it.. What I like about that Jajakraf’s handmade is lusciously different because it is full of pure & creative.. Of course you can’t usually get them anywhere else but only at JAJAKRAF. I love handmade craft because they will satisfy your eye and your pride and the most important it is ‘ORIGINAL’. The life so short, the craft so long to learn -Trisha Aleesa
Thanks Aween, you really deserved these.

Thank you very much to all the commentators with their very supportive comments. I will take that to motivate myself to do the best in future, I wish.
As promised, here I attached my lil’s princess wearing her new hairclip with matched gown and shoe…

The rest of the flowers had listed in my Tamu.
My layered felt flower
Feb
At the first place, I just want to make a hairclip for my lil’ Sufi to match her new gown, which is she’ll be wore on her brother’s nursery’s family day, this Sunday.

Inspired by kek lapis sarawak, I made this layered felt flower and attached it to a pink-grosgrain-ribbon-wrapped alligator hairclip. I’ll update the photo of her wearing this if I remember to take a picture.
But then, I was addicted to it since it quite easy to make, so I made some more.

They are look yummy, huh? Approximately 45mm width and 11mm height. Plan to put it in my Tamu later on, I wish people might like and buy it *lol*. Anybody?…
So, as usual.. since this is a new creation of mine, let’s play a game. By leave a comment on this entry, you will have a chance to have these…

2 pieces of layered felt flowers, no clip attached. For your embellishment purpose; hairclip, brooch, etc…
And also this You & Me hp charm.

Will choose the ‘bestest’ comment and announce it on Tuesday, 23 February 2010.
Happy Sunday!

It was hard for me to choose the best comment as all of them were quite the same from one to another. Okay. tips from me for the next game. write a like-no-other comment because I tend to pick that kind of read. I was about to randomly pick one when finally the last comment of the entry came in;
“Apabila kita buat sesuatu dengan terbaik (macam kita sendiri nak pakai), datang daripada minat dan ikhlas memberikan kualiti yang tinggi, mmg akan jadi sangat cantik dan terkesan di hati sendiri dan orang lain. Tahniah atas pembuatan dan design yang terkini.” -Euphoria.
Thank you very much to all the comments; the good wish as well as the supports regarding my ID card holder. They really mean a lot to me. I want to reply few comments here;
Kak Ani ~ Please jangan give up even if orang ciplak idea kita over and over again.
Siti Fairuz ~ You were the one who inspired me to make this, thank you!
Aneesah ~ Thank you for the komen membina. But don’t worry, it only covered a small part of the card’s edge.
Maya ~ Ribbon ni tak jual punya, 4 meter je per pattern, ciput
To every commentator ~ Thank you a million!!!
ID card holder
Feb
All these times I’ve been thinking about making my-own-style ID card holder. The idea has started when someone emailed me on around September last year, asking for custom made ID card holder from felt. But that time I resisted to make any custom made order especially for new item.

But when I saw this beautiful gorgeous grosgrain ribbons on eBay, I said to my self, instead of copying others creations, this is the time when I should invent a new item under my very own idea. While waiting for the ribbon to come, I’ve been thinking and planing. So, here I present my new invention from felt, ID card holder.

It suits a standard ID card size, and available in 2 types; vertical and horizontal. It’s lined with mounting board to harden the body. Let see some other details…

I used eyelet ring for hole finishing, swivel lobster clasp to attach the strap to the body and also some buttons and felt flower applique for the embellishments.

Lets have some fun here. I want to give away this soft-brown color ID card holder to the best comment on this post. So, all you have to do is just say some words about this new invention of JajaKraf. Will announce the lucky one on Friday.
The rest 4 ID card holders are now listed in my shop, sell at their introductory prices.
Thank you for reading!

Product photography tutorial
Jan
2 – 3 persons had asked me personally, how I took and edited a picture for my blog. So here I want to share my way on how to make sure the picture looks professional without professional.
My tip: The right technique is matters while shooting the picture; No vibration (tripod will do, because our hands cannot hold the camera steadily) and lighting (light enough and no direct flash, it will caused harsh shadow or else the picture will over exposed).
- Prepare a white clean interfacing. I used white fabric and white sheet, curve it on a chair for seamless background. Put the product into place and shoot some pictures.

- Choose the best picture. This is the original picture I will be working with.

Editing the picture step by step:
Step 1: Open the picture with Macromedia Fireworks. Other software should be similar. Crop the picture with Cropping Tool on the left. Press Enter on the keyboard.

Step 2: Next, go to Filter –> Adjust color –> Curves.

You should have a window open that looks like this. Click select highlight color on the right pen.
Drop the pen on the white background of the picture. See what happen to your picture’s background. It’s turned white now.

Step 3: To make the color looks vibrant, adjust your curve by dragging down a bit. Then click Ok.

Step 4: Now got to Modify –> Canvas –> Canvas Color.

Choose White and then click Ok.

Move the picture around to make sure the background is totally white as white as the canvas.

Repeat the Step 2 once again. This time drop the pen on the ‘not white enough’ background. Then put the picture back into place.

Step 5: Go to Modify –> Canvas –> Canvas Size. Resize the picture to your desired size.

I used to resized my picture to 500 pixels. Click Ok.

Your picture will looks small now. Change the resolution view and click 100%.

Step 6: Click the picture, then go to Effects –>Sharpen –> Sharpen. To make the picture even more sharper.

Step 7: Then click Text Tool on the left and drop it on the picture and type your name or what so ever, for copyright.

Step 8: Go to File –> Save.

Click Save JPEG.

This is the stage where you sh0uld have your final image.
You’re done! You’re just produced a professional photo without professional. Hope this simple steps will help. Good luck!
Thank you for reading.
Wait, wait. Don’t go away yet. Keep reading this. Ok, I made these cup cake keychains and hp straps for the sake of this tutorial. And yes, they’re embellished on both sides. So, I’ll give it for free to 2 readers. 1 keychain and 1 hp strap to each of them. Just leave a comment on this entry by completing this slogan “I want these cup cakes for free because…” or “Saya nak sangat dengan kapkek ni sebab…”.
I’ll choose the best 2 slogans and announce the chosen ones on Tuesday. Make sure I can reach you through your email.
Ok, I’m finished now, thanks again for reading till the last full stop.

Miss dragonfly
May
This dragonfly’s admirer asked me to make her this baju kecil which is read ‘cik pepatung’.

And I’ve bought myself these mix and match 100% cotton fabrics from Jakel Silk House. They’re having an offer right now, too much of choices but too few (the pattern) up to my attraction. Most of their collection are flowery patterns.

This magazine too…

Not least, the giveaway prize I’ve won on Liza’s giveaway. Never had any style of brooch like this before. Thank you so Much Liza! Kak Ja really appreciate it!
